Ordering
When ordering a cake from us you will be pencilled in whilst the cake design and details are arranged. The 'date' will remain yours for 7 days until a £10 deposit is received, your date will then be confirmed and the order placed. If no deposit is received within 7 days your order will be cancelled.**** Please note cakes are made in a kitchen where nuts are handled and gluten products and other allergens are present. ****
Payment Terms
When the date of your order has been confirmed a £10.00 non refundable deposit must be paid via cash, Paypal or direct bank transfer. the outstanding amount must be paid by cash at the time of collection/delivery,
Delivery
When collecting , transportation should be on a flat surface, the footwell or the boot of the car is ideal and in the box provided. Please ask for advice when taking collection of your cake if you are unsure. We cannot be held responsible for any damage incurred due to poor transportation.
Storage
The cake, if covered in fondant MUST NOT be stored in the fridge unless otherwise stated. Fondant will sweat and the colours will run, printed toppers
will also be ruined. Store only in the box provided and in a cool dry place away from damp. DO NOT store cut cake in the fridge as it will dry out the cake, just wrap or cover cut section
in tin foil.
Large cakes should be consumed within a few days after cutting so it is at its best however the cake will last a week if uncut and stored at room temperature in the box provided. We advise that
cupcakes should be eaten within 48 hours.
Extreme hot weather will reduce the life span of a cake.
Cancellations
Should your date change more than 7 days before the agreed collection/delivery date, the booking may be transferred without extra charge if the new date is
available, however this is discretionary and all decisions are final. If you wish to cancel your order, written confirmation is required and the deposit will not be refunded. If cancelling less
that 5 days before a 50% charge will be payable unless the slot can be filled by another booking.
If Claire's custom cakes has to cancel the booking due to illness a full refund will be given.
Complaints
The terms and conditions are for the protection of both customer and business, we cannot be held responsible for any damage or losses unless as a direct
result of our negligence.

In the unlikely event that you are not happy, please contact us in the first instance to acknowledge and rectify any queries or complaints within 3 days
after collection/delivery. We aim to contact you with 48 hours.
To support your complaint photographic evidence will be advantageous.
Our Cakes are a form of art and each and everyone is hand crafted to your specifications and to the best of our abilities.
Certain aspects are negotiable so please do not hesitate to ask us any questions you may have.
Weddings
When booking your wedding with us we ideally require at least 6 weeks notice of your wedding date.
An initial meeting is advisable but not always necessary. Cake tasting is available on request and you are welcome to contact me as many times as you need to discuss your cake.
A £50.00 non refundable deposit will be required to confirm your date. Should you wish to change your cake design you may do so at no extra charge providing it is at least 6 weeks
before your collection/delivery date, less than this may incur an additional charge, if you wish to add alcohol to your cake/cupcakes after the original quote then there will be an additional
charge.
Delivery costs
Delivery is free locally but there is a charge outside of Attleborough to cover costs and time involved.
